Game info

Note:
This game is made with the mouse in mind, WASD + Space + Mouse is the optimal and intended way to play, but Arrow keys + Mouse does work too, in theory.

Movement - AD / Left & right arrow keys

Jumping - Space / Up / W

Attacking - Left mouse button

And, since some people seemed to be confused by this in my last mvm entry, not all enemies can be defeated. If something doesn't make a sound when hit, it is most likely invulnerable.

A volume of 20-30 is recommended.

The horrible repository for this game can be found here.

Reflecting on this game

This game was made for the Metroidvania Month 19 jam, in which's community I've been for a while. Seeing as there was a drought of game jams, and I had nothing to do in my holidays, I figured I'd join.

All in all, I think it went great, I managed to implement most of what I wanted to. I really needed to make a good game again as well, seeing as my last semi-successful game was Ruined, made for Metroidvania Month 17, therefore about half a year before this one, which is just too long.

Finishing a game is a skill to be aware of, and I'm just glad everything worked out so well with this.

Big thanks to the jam's host, Falcon Nova, and of course:

Have a nice week!

I was wondering why the game was giving so much HP and the final boss made it clear why!

ah this was excellent. Really fun combat, player movement, and artwork. Only thing I was missing - a map! I think I missed lots of stuff but it was too disorienting trying to do a clean sweep
